Introducing the Diode Dynamics Stage Series SS5 LED Pod—an exceptionally powerful 5-inch auxiliary light engineered for maximum output, precise beam control, and dependable off-road performance. The SS5 combines patented technology, custom-engineered TIR optics, selectable backlighting, and a durable housing to deliver impressive intensity in a compact package.

Focused Output
Traditional reflectors and basic lenses can lose light internally or scatter it as glare. The SS5 uses a custom-engineered Total Internal Reflection (TIR) optic to collect light directly from the LEDs and direct it where it is needed. The optic also serves as the main outer lens, reducing light loss and improving efficiency, focus, and usable output.

Selectable Backlight
Each SS5 LED Pod features a selectable backlight with eight color options, giving you additional visibility or a distinctive styling accent when the main beam is not in use. Changing colors is simple: alternate the backlight power on and off to cycle through the available choices—no separate controller or complicated programming required. The backlight fully illuminates the TIR optic for a unique appearance.

CrossLink Compatibility
Diode Dynamics’ patent-pending CrossLink technology lets you connect up to eight SS5 pods to build a rigid, adjustable light bar. A single-piece CNC-machined aluminum link joins the pods and allows for straight or curved configurations. Integrated threaded mounting points mean every SS5 is ready for CrossLink use without requiring a special pod version.

Purpose-Built Beam Patterns
Stage Series optics are developed through advanced optical simulation to create functional, efficient beam patterns for different applications.

• Driving: A focused 30x20-degree pattern designed for general illumination at speed. It provides enough width to illuminate the road ahead while limiting excessive foreground light. The SS5 Driving pattern is too bright to qualify as an SAE Auxiliary High Beam, but it delivers a significant boost in long-range visibility.
• Combo: Combines Driving and Flood optics for versatile, all-around performance. A focused 30x20-degree center beam adds distance, while the surrounding output creates a full 70x30-degree pattern.
• Flood: Produces smooth, even illumination through a wide 70x55-degree spread. Its optically designed pillow lenses provide uniform coverage for low-speed trails, trailers, campsites, and worksites.
• Spot: Sends light directly through the TIR optic in a concentrated beam. The SS5 Sport Spot produces a focused 15-degree pattern and up to 406,000 candela, reaching approximately one mile at ¼ lux. The Pro Spot uses a larger LED emitter, producing more raw output in a wider 20-degree pattern with slightly lower total intensity.

White or Selective Yellow
SS5 pods are available in cool white or selective yellow. The 6000K white output closely matches most factory LED lighting, while the 3000K selective-yellow output increases contrast in poor weather and creates a distinctive look. Replacement lenses are available, allowing you to change the beam pattern or output color later.

Sport or Pro Output
Choose the power level that fits your needs. Both models use high-intensity LED emitters and precision TIR optics.

• Sport: Nine high-intensity LEDs with 40 watts of total power.
• Pro: More than double the power at 90 watts for substantially increased output.

Simple, Weather-Resistant Connections
Every SS5 pod includes an integrated waterproof DT-style Deutsch connector and a six-inch pigtail with bare leads. You can wire the pod into your existing system or pair it with an optional Diode Dynamics wiring harness.

Optional Snap-On Covers
Snap-on covers are available for added protection, styling, or compliance in locations where auxiliary-light covers are required. Multiple color choices help protect the lens from dirt, dust, and trail debris when the lights are not in use.

Proven Reliability
Stage Series lighting is tested for long-term operation from -40°F to 185°F, along with vibration, moisture-intrusion, and corrosion testing performed to SAE standards. The SS5 is built to withstand demanding on-road and off-road conditions.
