The Ford Transit 148" WB Extended Length Van gives you extra length inside but not necessarily on your roof. Ford did not include an extra mounting point at the back of the van limiting your roof rack space. Don't worry, to help you maximize your roof rack, we have a custom bracket for this last position.
Our Unaka Ford Transit 8020 Rear Rack Brackets allow you to extend your roof rack roughly another 18" further than if you stop at the last factory mounting point. This last bracket bolts down through a factory located hole and secured in place with a washer and a nut from inside the van. It should be noted that since this is not a factory mounting point, it does not have the same structural re-enforcement that is below the normal mounting points so it does not have the same load bearing capabilities as the other locations. We recommend using this portion of the rack to support solar panels or the rear portion of an awning.
Our 8020 Adapter Brackets are precision laser cut out of 5052 Aluminum, formed, and then black powder coated for that extra corrosion resistance and a nice finished look. Our formed bracket design is bent just over 90 degrees to compensate for the slight roof angles where your rack brackets attach to. Each bracket includes the Stainless Steel hardware you need to secure your 15 Series (1.5") Aluminum Extrusion 8020 Profile to our bracket.
