Features

  • Neat Wiring Integration: Our ceiling kit's outer driver-side and center row features a concealed notch, allowing you to tuck away factory wiring harnesses and puck light wires neatly. This attention to detail ensures a sleek and organized interior. The ceiling kit extends to within 1/4" (6mm) of your factory wall edge.
  • Union Panels for Consistency: Union panels hold the rows together from the backside, maintaining a consistent 1/8" gap between panels. This precise fit ensures a professional and aesthetically pleasing finish to your van conversion.
  • Illuminating Ambiance: The Serg Supply Sprinter Van Ceiling Kit comes standard with 12 pre-cut puck lights, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere within your van. Should you desire a different lighting setup, we can remove lighting holes upon request. Please note that custom fan cutouts may affect the position and quantity of lights.
  • Fan and Air-Conditioner Ready: For added convenience, our Fan Cutouts are compatible with most air-conditioner units with a profile close to the standard 14" x 14" size. This allows you to easily integrate ventilation and cooling solutions into your van life experience.

FAQs

  • How does the ceiling kit mount?

All Mercedes Benz sprinter kits are designed to fit directly into the factory holes in your ceiling. The factory holes will need to be bored out to 3/8" for rivet nut inserts before installation. All panels are mounted 0.125" apart and cover the entirety of the ceiling between walls.

  •  Will the ceiling kits work with ceiling fan cutouts?

Yes, our team can pre-cut a fan for you if requested for an additional charge of $100.  We will reach out to you once your order has been placed and walk you through measuring your fan cutout.

  •  How do I apply stain, finish, or sealer?

Painting:

  • Lightly scuff the entire surface of the product that you plan on coating with 120-180 grit sandpaper. Both Unfinished Maple and Prefinished Maple are paint-grade.
  • Apply 2-3 coats of primer before applying your main coat.
  • Always apply a finish when you're happy with the paint to get a long-lasting appearance.

Staining:

  • Sand the surface on all faces with sandpaper traveling with the grain of the wood.
  • Apply stain very cautiously to a section of the product that will not be visible to gauge the volume and pressure you need to achieve the desired look.
  • Apply the stain evenly with a rag, sponge, or spray gun until all surfaces are coated.
  • Please note that overlapping surfaces may make the stain darker on the overlapped areas.
  • Always apply a finish when you're happy with the stain for a long-lasting appearance.

Other Notes

  • We can not guarantee consistency in grain or pattern in natural wood colors as they are made from real wood veneer, and sometimes nature is inconsistent.
  • 1/2" Plywood panels are plywood with veneer laminate, and because of this, the grain will be visible on the sides between the 1/8" gaps.
  • Panels are not edge banded as more temperate climates may cause the adhesive to melt and banding to peel. For this reason, raw wood is visible on the sides of the panels.
  • If a panel is damaged, we won't make you purchase a new kit. Let us know which panel, and we can ship a replacement!
  • Not all vans come off the factory line identically. Expect a handful of rivet nuts to be a few millimeters off-course. These must be widened out with the drill bit or burring bit for the screws to align appropriately.
